Mir Shakil's property given to court custody

According to details, the court had earlier sought the details of the property of all the accused in a blasphemy case, which were duly submitted today by the DC South Karachi.

A formal letter stating details of Mir Shakil’s property was issued, which mentioned that the Jang/Geo group owner and his brother own property in district South of Karachi.

The mukhtiarkar (revenue officer) of Araam Bagh Karachi stated in the letter that Shakil owns 50 percent share of the property.

The court barred Mir Shakil from selling his share of the property and ordered that it will remain under court custody until a verdict isn’t announced.

The court was further informed that other accused in the case namely Shaista Lodhi, Veena Malik, Asad Bashir Khattak, Ansar Abbasi and Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain have no property registered on their names in district South of Karachi.

A few months earlier, a case was filed against Jang/Geo group owner, Mir Shakil ur Rehman and others for committing blasphemy of Ahle Bait (RA) during Geo TV morning show hosted by Shaista Lodhi.
