DUBAI: Renowned singers Aima Baig, Shuja Haider and Pakistan’s legendary rock band Junoon thrilled the audience by their spectacular performance at the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL-4) opening ceremony held at the Dubai International Stadium, ARY News reported.
The event started with the national anthem of Pakistan.
Addressing the glittering opening ceremony of the fourth season of the PSL, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani thanked the audience and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government for letting them conduct the event in Dubai.
He termed the PSL “biggest cricket league of the world” and added that he was pleased to see such a beautiful opening ceremony.
Fawad Khan performed the anthem of the PSL4 “Khel Deewano Ka”, which sent the chills through the audience many of whom waved Pakistani flags and wore the colours of their favourite teams.
Speaking at this occasion, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the head of UAE’s Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Social Development congratulated the PCB on successfully organising the PSL. He hoped more such competitions would follow in future.
A total of 34 matches will be played between six teams during the event. Eight matches will be played in Pakistan while Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi will host other matches.
PSL-4 would be conclude on March 17, 2019 at the National Stadium Karachi where final will be played. Opening match of the PSL-4 would be played between Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars tonight in Dubai.

Six teams are participating in the grand PSL 2019 – Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultan, and Quetta Gladiators.
