LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aliya Hamza Malik advised Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president Maryam Nawaz to quit politics and focus on ‘running a household’, ARY News reported on Sunday.

In a statement, Aliya Hamza said that the PML-N leader was ‘still shocked’ from PTI’s yesterday power show at Minar-e-Pakistan.

Referring to Maryam Nawaz’s allegations, she said that PTI chairman Imran Khan’s ‘facilitators’ were people of Pakistan and he was ‘ladla (blue-eyed)’ of the nation. She also challenged the PML-N leader of giving a speech on her performance.

The PTI leader also criticised Maryam for ‘stealing watches’ from Toshakhana and selling, seeking accountability of Nawaz Sharif for taking BMW car for Rs0.6 million.

She noted that Imran Khan had given an ‘economic plan’ to steer the country of current crisis, advising Maryam to quit politics and focus on ‘running a household’.

Earlier in the day, PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz said that the state should stop PTI chief Imran Khan with full force, otherwise, the country would go into the wrong hands.

Maryam Nawaz made the statement while addressing the lawyers’ wing in Lahore. She said that the National Assembly (NA) had been dissolved on the ruling of Qasim Suri but the violator of the Constitution was allowed to go home.

She admitted that it was a mistake of the incumbent government not to file a petition. She added that the time has not passed yet and the government should approach the court now.
