PM Sharif arrived at Governor House Quetta amid a heavy security, while traffic remained at a standill over half an hour.
Khyber Pakhtonkhwa government in December 2015 had issued an order stating: “the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is pleased to abandon undue and extra- protocol, unnecessary security routing, traffic restrictions and blocking of public roads during visits of VVIPs and VIPs throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province with immediate effect and in the best public interest, and to avoid any inconvenience to the general public.”
None of the other provinces have passed such an order or adopted measures to ensure public life remains unaffected during any VVIP movement.
