'Punjab Nahi Jaungi' becomes the highest grossing Pakistani movie of the year

ARY Films, Salman Iqbal Films and Six Sigma Plus productions’ latest release ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ is breaking records, attracting cine-goers the world over and has become the highest grossing Pakistani film of the year, ARY News reported.
The movie which released on Eid-ul-Adha has been collecting crores since its release.
The Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat starrer has been getting rave reviews from the critics and fans with audiences thronging cinema houses to watch the desi flick.
Almost all the top publications and blogs of the country have rated the trailer and songs as technically sound and aesthetically perfect.
“Hadn’t expected #PunjabNahiJaungi to establish such a strong connection with the audience.But it has and we’ve got you guys to thank for it!” Humayun Saeed, the lead actor of the movie wrote on his Instagram six days ago when the movie reached the 38 crore mark at box office.

Fans immediately responded with praises for the movie. One wrote that she has already seen it three times at a cinema.

If you have still not seen the movie, in the movie, Humayun Saeed plays Fawad Khagga, a lad who falls in love with city girl Amal (Mehwish Hayat) and wants to take her to Punjab.
As a modern girl, Amal is horrified at the prospect of leaving the city life behind. Fawad is heartbroken but his faith in love is unshakeable. He vows to win Amal through the sheer strength of his love. What follows is a test of love, friendship and family and Fawad’s ultimate quest to bring Amal with him to Punjab.
