Qadri using women, children as human shield: Mashhood

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Rana Mashhood said that the people who are spreading anarchy in the country will be dealt with an iron hand whereas negotiations will be held with politicians. He added that several police officers were taken hostage by PAT workers but the government has showed restraint.

Punjab’s law minister also added that cases will be filed against Qadri for challenging the writ of the government.

He added that weapons and nailed sticks were recovered from PAT activists during raids in different cities.

“There are plots being made to carry out bomb blasts in seven cities of Punjab”, Mashhood said.

Law Minister also said that Punjab Government is contacting Canadian High Commissioner to make his citizen stop spreading anarchy in the country.

Rana Mashhood, while speaking on the petrol shortage, said that supply will be restored after couple of hours. He added that the supply was suspended due to the containers placed to stop the extremists.

“Qadri will be allowed to observe Martyr’s Day only if he accepts that he is responsible for the situation”, Mashhood added.
