RAWALPINDI: Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohamed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, has met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Lt Gen Al-Khalifa has visited the General Headquarters (GHQ) where he was called on by General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The military high-ups discussed matters of mutual, professional interest and regional security.
Both sides decided to further enhance military cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain, the statement said.
Lt Gen Al-Khalifa said that Pakistan played a significant role in maintaining peace and stability in the region.

On January 23, Chief of Pakistan Navy Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi had called on the commander-in-chief of Bahrain defence forces during his official visit.
Following his meeting with the commander-in-chief of Bahrain defence forces, Admiral Abbasi met the commander of combined task force (CTF-150) as well.
The professional matters were discussed during the high-profile meeting, alongside deliberating upon the maritime issues of mutual interest.
