Qureshi-Bopanna face defeat in the quarter-final of Madrid Open

MADRID: Pakistan’s tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna lost to Spanish duo of Fernando Verdasco – David Marrero at Caja Magica Madrid, Spain, ARY News reported.
The fourth seeded Verdasco and Marrero defeated the Pak-Indo duo Qureshi-Bopanna in thriller by 7-6, 7-6 in the Quarterfinal.
The crowed witnessed a very close competition between the two teams as both the sets claimed by the Spanish Duo after a tie-breaker.
Fernando Verdasco/David Marrero will now face World no. 1 doubles pair of American twins Bob Bryan/Mike Bryan in the semifinals of doubles event of Mutua Madrid Open.
