FAISALABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has once again blamed former premier and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for attacks on the military installations.

Rana Sanaullah inaugurated the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office in Faisalabad today. He said that the residents of the area will be facilitated via new NADRA office.

He added that different development projects are underway in several areas of the city which were approved by the PML-N government.

Commenting on the political situation, Sanaullah said that Imran Khan has always done the politics of sit-ins and long marches besides victimising his political opponents during his government.

He alleged that former premier Imran Khan imposed fake cases against his political opponents including Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif and even stopped the authorities to provide medicines to the ailing politicians.

The interior minister further alleged that the PTI chief had trained the people for spreading chaos and violence due to the fear of his arrest. He added that Khan has misguided the youth of the nation and incited people to torch everything if he is arrested.

Sanaullah said that those who had been trained by Imran Khan attacked the military installations.

He said that the culprits behind the May 9 riots will be brought to justice soon.

A few days ago, Sanaullah claimed that the federal government has enough evidence to declare Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) an outlawed organisation.

Rana Sanaullah said in a statement that the federal cabinet will make a decision to declare PTI an outlawed organisation on the basis of the evidence. He alleged that May 9 events were fully planned by the PTI and Imran Khan gave tasks to the groups.

He further alleged that 250 Afghan citizens were securing Imran Khan in Zaman Park who had been given training for violent attacks and using petrol bombs. He claimed that some of the suspects were currently present in the houses around Zaman Park.
