KARACHI: Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah on Friday claimed that Maryam Nawaz has seen volume 10 of the report of Panama Leaks Joint Investigation Team (JIT), ARY News reported.
Rana Sanaullah was talking to ARY News program Sawal Ye Hai host Maria Memon when he confirmed that daughter of the ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif had seen a copy of the JIT report’s volume 10.
Maryam has said that the volume 10 of JIT report contains no significant information.
This should be noted that the volume 10 of Panama Leaks JIT report has not been made public yet.
The law minister Punjab said lawyers of the Nawaz Sharif family had access to the volume 10.

On the other hand, noted law expert Barrister Ali Zafar wondered how could Maryam see the volume 10 while it has not been made public yet.
“It was sealed after showing it to counsels in the Supreme Court,” he said.
He said the investigation should be held in how she got the copy of volume 10.
Pakistan Peoples Party leader Wahab Murtaza said Maryam’s gaining access to the volume 10 of JIT was illegitimate.
Earlier, Sharif family’s counsel in Panamagate case, Salman Akram Raja on Saturday said that volume 10 of the JIT report only consists of requests for legal assistance and has nothing which could affect the overall case.

Talking exclusively to ARY News, the lawyer maintained that one of his team member Khawaja Haris had requested the court to make the volume 10 public but as the court showed him some part he was satisfied.
“It only has requests of mutual legal assistance (to different countries) whose response is awaited. Even the court said that it has nothing significant and I think the stories and theories about volume 10 will die,” said Raja.
A five-judge Supreme Court bench disqualified Nawaz Sharif in a unanimous verdict in July this year.
Soon after the SC judgement, the PM House issued a terse statement saying that Nawaz Sharif, despite having reservations on the SC’s verdict, has stepped down from his post as the premier.
