Ranbir Kapoor to play legendary grandfather Raj Kapoor

If these reports are to be believed then the actor will be portraying Raj Kapoor in a biopic which will produced under the banner of RK films.

According to a source, this is the most cherished dream project of the Kapoor family, and they wanted to make the film since a long time.

However, they could not decide on how would play the coveted role until Ranbir became an actor. Now the project is finally taking shape and is expected to see the light of the day.

It is also known that Ranbir has always been fascinated with his grandfather Raj Kapoor and his work since a long time and knows them inside out very well.

This will also give an opportunity to his father Rishi Kapoor and uncle Randhir Kapoor to revive the family banner of RF Films which is dormant since the last several years. Both brothers have agreed that Ranbir is the best person to play the role of Raj Kapoor.
