Rangers clarified that it was an experimental drone that they had been flying, in order to test the device. As soon as the drone crashed onto the ground at Shakargarh, it caused panic and confusion among the masses, who thought it was a spy drone sent by the Indians. The main reason for this speculation was because the district shares a border with neighbouring country India.
