Reforms being introduced in education sector: minister for education

MULTAN: Minister for Education and Professional Training Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman a number of reforms have been introduced in education sector.
While distributing laptops among the students of Allama Iqbal Open University under Prime Minister National Laptop Scheme in Multan, he said students of backward areas have benefited to a great extent from Fee Reimbursement Programme of the government.

As per Unesco Institute for Statistics report in 2009, Pakistan faces a net primary school attendance rate for both sexes of 66 percent — a figure far below estimated world average of 90 percent.
Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf on Friday (December 23) said that the government is planning to bring national seminaries into mainstream through educational reforms.
The federal minister said that they are taking religious scholars on board to streamline the system and make adequate changes in the curricula of madrassas and to allocate adequate budget for them.
