LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday said sacrifices of soldiers had strengthened determination and will to defeat terrorists.
“The supreme sacrifices rendered by our officers and jawans in the line of duty have strengthened our national will and determination that we cannot be deterred by cowardly acts of terrorists who shall be defeated no matter what the cost,” the COAS said while visiting the family of Major Muhammad Ishaq (shaheed) in Lahore. He offered Fateha on this occasion.
Commander Lahore Corps Lt Gen Aamer Riaz was also present on this occasion. Aamer Riaz had also visited the family on November 24 to acknowledge their sacrifice.
Major Ishaq, aged 28, embraced martyrdom during a search operation conducted on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in a hideout in Kulachi area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s DI Khan district.
