Forget Ludo Star, or even Facebook and Snapchat for a moment, because a new social media mobile app has taken over the internet and millions of users are going crazy about it – and that’s Sarahah.

The app created by Saudi developer ZainAlabdin Tawfiq allows users to receive anonymous comments.

According to a description of Sarahah, the app “helps you in discovering your strengths and areas for improvement by receiving honest feedback from your employees and your friends in a private manner.”

Sarahah has been the top app on Apple’s App Store since July 17, says app research firm App Annie, and has been the iPhone’s top app by downloads in 25 countries.

But users wonder whether there is a way to ascertain sender identity – and if that happens, the app will drastically lose its user base.

A website has been created that allegedly reveals the identity of a sender in Sarahah.

A video has also been shared by a number of users showing how to use the online ‘Sarahah hack’ tutorial.
