It seems as if Afghanistan playing into others' hands: Nisar

In a statement on Tuesday, Nisar conveyed a strong message to Kabul that Pakistan will not tolerate any kind of aggression. “The unprovoked firing by Afghan forces and subsequent casualties of Pakistani security personnel are unacceptable,” he reminded.

“Kabul has to decide whether to stand with peace or to play into the hands of others,” the minister said in response to Afghan firing that resulted in martyrdom of a Pakistan Army major and wounded 18 other security men and civilians over past 48 hours.

He slammed that Pakistan’s efforts to prevent intrusion are being sabotaged from across the border.

‘Major Jawad’s martyrdom will be avenged’

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said the ‘martyrdom of Major Ali Jawad Changezi will not go in vain and it will be avenged’. He said the enemies want to rob us of Zarb-e-Azb peace gains.

He said if the enemy sheds our blood then he will have to pay for it, “We will secure our frontiers and respond befittingly if someone tried to create impediments in it”.

Martyrdom of Maj. Jawad Changezi Shaheed will not go in vain, it will be avenged, even as enemies seek to rob us of Zarb-e-Azb peace gains.

“We have always talked of peace and stability in Afghanistan, but if the neighboring country will not let us secure our borders then it will only worsen affairs,” warned Asif.

Afghanistan will have to understand the complexity of circumstances and prevent enemies from sabotage, he said.
