Shah Rukh Khan and Zayn Malik are two superstars from Asia who have amassed a gigantic fan following and cemented their stature as international celebrities.

Last week, the two got a chance to meet and hangout at the prestigious Asian Awards in London. As Shah Rukh and Zayn Malik mingled, both of them snapped a selfie together which went viral on Twitter. So much so, that the photo broke the record of being the highest retweeted post on Twitter. Currently, the photo has been retweeted more than 120,000 times and favorited more than 170,000 times from an Indian Twitter handle.

Shah Rukh Khan had psoed the picture on Twitter at April 17 with the caption,”This kid is so cool. May Allah bless him. Dinner time at the Asian Awards.”

Shah Rukh Khan is the most popular Indian on Twitter with 12.6 million followers behind fellow iconic Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who has an impressive 14 million followers, the largest following of an Indian. Shah Rukh Khan and Zayn Malik both won big at the Asian Awards, with Shahrukh scooping the award for outstanding contributions to cinema whereas Zayn notched the outstanding contributions to music award.

Currently, Zayn Malik is taking time off from music after his publicized split from sensational boy band One Direction last month. Zayn parted ways amicably with the band and also paid tribute to them when he received his award. Shah Rukh is currently busy in filming movies Dilwale and Fan.
