KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Monday heard scores of petitions with regard to disappearances including a girl from Thatta district.
The missing girl, Ujala, has been untraced from Makli police jurisdiction of Thatta since last year, petitioner’s lawyer said.
The high court bench summoned progress report of the missing girl’s case from police in the next hearing.
The family members of two missing persons from Karachi’s Iqbal Market police remit, Ma’az Khan and Muhammad Yaseen, didn’t appear in the court. “Both citizens have been safely returned to their homes,” police informed the court in its report.
The court dismissed their missing petitions after the police report.
The bench was informed that a man Rafi ur Rehman has been missing from Sharafi Goth police limits since last year. “No steps taken for recovery of the missing citizen,” petitioner’s lawyer informed the court.
The court adjourned further hearing of missing cases until April 10.
