HARIPUR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan on Sunday said that Shebaz Sharif doesn’t realise that it is his turn next after his brother and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was convicted in the Avenfield reference case.
“Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza might be thanking me for get rid of Nawaz Sharif. However, Shehbaz Sharif doesn’t realise it is his turn next.
“The amount of corruption Shehbaz has done, it seem he will break Zardari’s record,” he said addressing a campaign rally in Haripur, adding those who looted public wealth should be held accountable and justice should be delivered.
He said the upcoming election on July 25 will decide the future of the nation. He said the people before voting for the PML-N should ask their candidates how the burdening foreign debts of the nation will be repayed.
He said the PML-N and PPP cannot salvage the nation from foreign debts and the country has no respect worldwide, and was even threatened by the US President despite countless sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He said the PTI would observe austerity in the Governor and Prime Minister House, convert the governor’s house in Nathiagali into a hotel, and commercialise guesthouses in Galyat to raise funds and spend them on the people.
He said that Nawaz Sharif as prime minister made overseas visits worth Rs2.5 billion, while even the British prime minister, despite overseeing an economy bigger then fifty countries, observes austerity.
Lifestyle of Sharifs seems as ‘rivers of oil were flowing’
He said the Sharif family lived an extravagant lifestyle and it seems as if “rivers of oil were flowing,” while even leaders of rich countries live a much simpler life.

He said they will reform and rebuild institutions such as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to reduce debts and held the corrupt accountable.
“We will soon hear that corruption worth billions is being caught in Sindh,” he said referring to ongoing investigation against the PPP.
He said that they will improve public schools and reform the education sector, and end the police station culture by reforming the service. Furthermore, the affectees of the Tarbela Dam will also given compensation.
