ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed on Friday said that Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and his sons Hamza and Sulaiman had also fake accounts and involved in money laundering like Pakistan Peoples Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari, ARY News reported.

Addressing a public meeting, Murad Saeed said that amazingly a person, who had never been to abroad, sent money to Sharif family from a foreign country.

The minister said that Shehbaz Shrif and his sons looted billions of rupees from national exchequer and transferred it into their accounts abroad. He said that both Asif Ali Zardari and Sharif family were involved in mega corruption.

Lashing out at the opposition, Murad Saeed said that the incumbent government had to take loan to pay the interest of that loan taken by the previous governments.

He said that they recovered public money worth Rs4.4 billion from corrupt elements. Murad Saeed said that Sharif family was frustrated as their corruption was being exposed. He said that on the other hand, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari initiated  ‘Abu Bachao’ campaign.  The minister said that both PML-N and PPP wanted to conceal their corruption. The minister said that they would spend the money recovered from corrupts elements on the masses.

He said that a severe water crisis gripping Sindh and added that the provincial government should focus on malnutrition and closed schools. The minister said that inquiry underway against 13 officials of National Highway Authority.

Murad Saeed said that ‘Clean and Green Pakistan’ drive was part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’ revolutionary vision and added that the drive was continued across the country.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services, Murad Saeed, on March 28, had said no national reconciliation ordinance (NRO) would take place with those who looted nation’s wealth for years.

Speaking in the ARY News programme, Saeed had said those who plundered national wealth were now facing cases in the courts. He had said Nawaz Sharif was granted six-week bail by the court and the government was just implementing the court orders.
