Shehryar underscores need for religious, ethnic harmony in society   

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Interior Shehryar Afridi on Tuesday underscored the need for religious and ethnic harmony in the society to compete the world.

Addressing a ceremony in the federal capital, Shehryar Afridi said that unity, harmony and peace will ultimately bring progress and development in the country.

He urged the masses to comply with the golden principles of Islam and reiterate the government’s resolve to transform the country into a Madina-like state.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Prime Minister Imran Khan, on October 31, had said that Pakistan can only progress by following the golden principles of Islam.

Addressing the nation through a video message, the PM had said that Pakistan is the only country created in the name of Islam after the state of Madina Munawwara and could only move forward by following Islamic principles.

“Pakistan has no future other than becoming an Islamic Welfare State,” said Imran Khan.
