LAHORE: Federal Minister for Pakistan Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said on Saturday he sees Prime Minister Imran Khan complete his five-year term in power.
“No matter what they [opposition parties] do, PM Imran Khan will complete his term,” he said while speaking at a press briefing here.
The minister said there is no political future of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
He said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s political career too would end if he will stand to protect his father’s corruption.
To a question about fiscal budget for the year 2019-20, he said he didn’t know when will it be unveiled. However, he added he will finalise the railway’s budget by April 24.
Rasheed said Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate the Sir Syed train service.
He said the Main Line-1 project will provide around 150,000 job opportunities.
Pakistan and China will sign a preliminary agreement for the design of the ML-1 project during the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to China, he added.
He said that upon completion of ML-1 project, the travel duration from Lahore to Karachi will reduce to eight hours.
