Shireen Mazari finds Coke Studio’s Ko Ko Korena rendition “horrendous”

ISLAMABAD: A remake of the classic Ko Ko Korina by Ahad Raza Mir and Momina Mustehsan even disappointed Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari.  

The Minister could not hold up her dis-relish for the Coke Studio’s new production and wrote: “Horrendous! Destroyed a great classic – why oh why did Coke Studio allow such a massacre of this classic song?”

Coke Studio Season 11 recently aired the cover of 60’s pop-song, Ko Ko Korina in which TV actor Ahad Raza Mir made his singing debut along heartthrob singer Momina.

To the awe of people, the song totally missed the mark despite featuring two highly influential celebrities together.

Soon after the release, the song met with severe criticism and bitterest trolling on the social media from all kinds of people, which now includes Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari too.

Known as Pakistan’s first pop-song, Ko Ko Korina, which was originally sung by pop-singer Ahmed Rushdi, is cherished till date by millions across the country.
