When asked about the ongoing buzz of their split as the two are not together for Eid, nor did he accompany his wife and son for Umrah last month, Malik rubbished the rumours, saying, “Nothing on it [relationship rumours]. We share love like always. I miss her a lot, that I can say.”

“There are [professional] commitments. Eid is a day when you miss the people close to you. Had we been together on Eid, it would have been great but she has got commitments in IPL, doing shows there, that’s why we are not together,” the all-rounder cleared the air.

Malik also clarified that he was caught up with professional commitments when his family went on the Umrah pilgrimage, due to which he could not accompany them. “When Sania and Izhaan went to perform Umrah I had commitments here, and when I took a break and went to Dubai to spend time with Izhaan, she had commitments in IPL,” he told the host.

“Everybody needs to understand we belong to different countries and have our own commitments. This is why neither I nor she released a statement,” Malik stated.

It is pertinent to note here that Indian star athlete, Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik got married in April 2010. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy Izhaan, on October 30, 2018.
