Shocking footage of phone exploding on American singer’s face goes viral

CALIFORNIA: A footage showing a cellphone carried by American rapper Ceelo Green exploding in his hands has gone viral.

Alleged footage has emerged showing the Forget You hitmaker being thrown to the floor of his recording studio as his handheld phone sparked in his hand

The blast appeared to be so powerful – and shocking – that Ceelo falls from his seat and doesn’t move after hitting the floor.

The footage quickly turned viral with many fans speculating that Ceelo was using a Samsung Galaxy phone – a version of which was recalled earlier this year due to technical faults that saw devices exploding across the globe.

Many were shocked by the footage.

In a brief Facebook Live video, the music artist reassured fans that he was okay and said the clip was part of an upcoming project, but did not fully elaborate.

‘I just want to let everybody know that I am alive, that I’m well, and I’m OK,’ he said in the video.

‘Truthfully, I’m really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today.

‘What you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project I’m doing called Gnarly Davidson.
