Sindh lifts ban on government jobs

KARACHI: Sindh cabinet on Saturday decided to lift ban on recruitment in government departments in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, ARY News reported.

Sindh Advisor for Information Maula Bux Chandio talking to media after the cabinet meeting today announced lifting of the ban on government jobs in Sindh.

The people will be provided jobs on merit, Chandio told media-persons.

Provincial Advisor said that the cabinet also discussed the situation on borders and condemned the provocations of India.

“We are united for the security of the country despite political differences,” Chandio said. “We will play our role for the national security,” he added.

Sindh cabinet in its meeting today condemned the Indian aggression against Pakistan.

The cabinet meeting urged the prime minister to convene All Parties Conference (APC) immediately to build national consensus on this important issue.

The cabinet also decided to impose a ban on the sale and use of Shisha, Gutka and Mainpuri and smoking at public places.

The provincial cabinet also banned the use of the Applied For Registeration (AFR) number plates and Protocol number plates on vehicles.

IG Sindh Police A. D. Khawaja briefed the cabinet about security measures to be taken to maintain law and order during the holy month of Muharram.
