KARACHI: Six people have died after a boiler exploded in a Landhi factory here on Wednesday.
According to details, seven labourers had received severe wounds following the incident and six of them succumbed to their injuries.
The incident took place in a private firm located near Manzil Pump in Landhi area, Karachi.
Police said there were three boilers in the factory and one of them burst with an explosion after it was overfilled with gas pressure.

The dead include Aamir, Saleem, Shadman, Imran, Khalid and Inayat, said police.
“Around 3,000 employees work in the said factory. Parts of the company’s ovens were being painted after their manufacturing,” they added.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and sought an inquiry report from the Karachi commissioner and labour secretary into the incident.
“Everything should be told in the report from last inspection of the factory to the reason behind the explosion,” he directed while expressing grief over the loss of lives.
The CM ordered to take all out measures to try to save the injured.
