Sonam Kapoor auditions for international projects

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor has revealed that the actress is currently auditioning for international projects. The actress, who has starred in movies since 2007 when she made her debut in Saawariya opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

“One has to accept that ups and downs are a part of life. As long as there are people who think I am good enough to work with them, I am happy. I’d be worried and unhappy if there were no filmmakers who wanted to work with me. But right now, I’m getting to work with great people and in great films,” she said.

“In the last couple of years, things changed for the better, especially after Raanjhanaa (2013). And, it has been a slow yet steady game since,” she added. Regarding the recent mixed response her films had received, Sonam said,”After Raanjhanaa, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag did so well. Alright, Bewakoofiyaan didn’t do too well, but Khoobsurat did extremely well. Hopefully, two of my upcoming films will do well too.”

The Bollywood beauty also refrained from divulging into too many details about any upcoming films she had auditioned for. Though, Sonam did state that she was keen on working for a successful Hollywood career and said that she would work hard as she had always done, at her auditions.

“I am auditioning for a few international projects. I can talk about them only when they think I am good enough, and finalise me,” she said, and added, “That’s how my career in Bollywood also started. I was born with a ­silver spoon, but I ­auditioned a lot and worked hard. That’s how I got my first film, Saawariya, in 2007. I have worked really hard to get my career going.”

Since Nargis Fakhri and Priyanka Chopra have made headlines by starring in international projects, Sonam’s ambitions must not be taken lightly. We wish her all the best!
