QUETTA: Superintendent Police (SP) Quaidabad Mubarak Shah and three other personnel were martyred in an ambush by unidentified assailants at residential area Kili Deba of the provincial capital, ARY News reported on Thursday.
The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Quetta has confirmed the martyrdom of SP Mubarak Shah.
Unknown armed men riding on two motorcycles opened fire on the convoy of SP, killing a personnel on the spot while injuring three others including the SP.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where SP Mubarak Shah and two of his guards succumb to injuries during the medical treatment.
The other three personnel were identified as Muddasir, Muhammad Irfan and Syed Maloom.
Talking to ARY News, Spokesperson of Balochistan government Anwaar ul Haq Kakar said that it apparently looked the law enforcement agencies’ personnel were the target.
