This Indian minister has a lesson for her Pakistani counterparts

Former model and actress, Minister of Textiles of India Smriti Irani despite having much fame and holding a senior governmental seat would feel no shame or insecurity to walk freely in the town when out of business, though she has been seen engaged with phone while in public probably making some important decisions for the country.

This description was noted by a Delhi-based writer Nimish Dubey. He narrated on his social media account about his observations of down-to-earth approach of the minister towards her daily life.

Irani has been a famous lead actress of Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ on Star Plus. She holds the record of winning five consecutive Indian Television Academy Awards for Best Actress (Popular) and four Indian Telly Awards.

Irani joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2003. While, she had been a part of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since her childhood as her grandfather was an RSS swayamsevak and her mother a member of Jana Sangh.

According to Dubey: “Irani often comes in and waits in line like everybody else, without any entourage. Basically just like the rest of us.”
