Former Miss Universe and famed Indian actress Sushmita Sen on Wednesday shocked everyone after reciting Surah Al-Asr of the Holy Quran.

Sen was speaking to media in Sharjah on relaunch of Danube showroom when she recited the Quranic verses in response to a question concerning strained bilateral ties between two neighboring countries; Pakistan and India.

The 41-year-old actress was asked what peace message she would like to deliver over the tense situation between two countries when she amazed everyone by reciting Surah Al-Asr.

My message is for all mankind, Sen replied while reciting the verses in a perfect way.

She also translated the Surah from Arabic to Hindi/Urdu.

The Indian actress is the brand ambassador of Danube Group. Sushmita Sen started work in Bollywood in 1999 with Biwi No.1 movie.
