Pope urges Pakistan to protect religious minorities

VATICAN CITY: Pope Francis on Monday condemned the Easter suicide bomb by extremist militants that killed at least 70 people in Lahore, many of them Christians, as “hideous” and demanded that the country’s authorities protect religious minorities.

VATICAN CITY: A homeless woman gave birth on a cardboard box just outside St. Peter's Square early on Wednesday in near-freezing temperatures and later received an offer of one year's hospitality in a Vatican institution.
