The news of couple’s engagement became viral three months ago and sources now indicate the event will host approximately 300 guests, deviating significantly from the originally anticipated small gathering.

Initially, there were suggestions that Swift and Kelce intended to keep their ceremony private and casual. A source told Page Six in August that the wedding would be “more casual than people think” and “private.” However, recent reports indicate a shift in strategy, with Swift now planning a “star-studded” event.

According to a report, Swift decided against a small wedding and is instead envisioning a grand affair. The couple aims for an early to mid-2026 wedding date with hundreds of notable guests on the list. A source explained, “Taylor went back and forth, but she’s decided there’s no sense in doing a wedding on the smaller side,” adding that this will likely be her only wedding, making a larger celebration a no-brainer.

Kelce proposed to Swift after two years of dating, with the proposal occurring after they recorded an episode of New Heights in August. Reflecting on their engagement, he described the experience as “exciting” and “awesome,” noting the fun of sharing their news with friends and fans. “I still get giddy,” he said, adding, “It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
