Sources reported that three children died at Civil Hospital in Mithi whereas another child breathed his last at Deplo Village.
The death toll has increased to 17 in 2015 whereas more than 260 children have been killed by the famine in Tharparkar so far.
It should be noted that lack of rainfall and vegetation leads to malnutrition in mothers which paves way to health problems.
The health problems then become the cause of death in children and newborns.
The residents of Thar are still waiting for relief that was promised by the provincial government and the concerned authorities.
