Hundreds of Illegal Afghan immigrants arrested from Peshawar

The report which has been sent to central police office states that 1862 illegal Afghan immigrants were arrested from the city.

During the operation around 5550 suspects were taken into custody while 1472 different types of weapons were recovered from the terrorists.

The progress report maintains that thousands of houses and hotels were searched for the presence of suspects while security of 23,557 educational institutions was scrutinized.

The report was sent to relevant Regional Police Officers (R.P.O) and District Police Officers (D.P.O).

It is pertinent to note here that the search and strike operation has been intensified all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in Peshawar, after the Army Public School attack on December 16, 2014 which resulted in the death of 149 people, mostly children.
