Kashif Zameer who defrauded Ertugrul star walks free after being granted bail

LAHORE: TikToker Kashif Zameer Chaudhry — accused of scamming Turkish drama series Diriliş: Ertuğrul star Engin Altan Duzyatan — was granted bail in yet another case on Tuesday, ARY News reported.

According to his lawyer, the local court in Lahore has granted bail to Kashif Zameer in what probably he called the last pending case registered against the latter.

“Zameer has been granted bail in all cases,” said his lawyer, adding that police have registered over dozens of “bogus” cases against his client.

A Judicial Magistrate on June 22 had granted bail to Tik Toker Kashif Zameer in a case of impersonating as a government official and carrying illegal weapons

Judicial Magistrate Noushaba Yousuf approved the bail of the accused, who is in jail on judicial remand,  subject to submission of a surety bond of Rs100,000.

Earlier it emerged that Kashif Zameer is a wanted criminal, with nearly 8 cases booked against him. The police party had arrested Mian Kashif Zameer after the emergence of his criminal record.

According to a criminal record of gold-laden Kashmir Zameer available with ARY News, four cases were registered against him in Lahore, two each in Toba Tek Singh and Sialkot.

Zameer, who was seen everywhere with the Turkish star during his first-ever visit to Pakistan, had struck a deal of one million dollars with Engin Altan.

According to the investigation officer (IO) of the case, TikToker Zameer invited the Turkish actor to Pakistan for different events and handed him a bogus cheque of Rs80 million, after which the actor cut short his visit and left the country.
