ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill on Tuesday shared reports on alleged corrupt practices of Transparency International and its Pakistan head Adil Gilani, ARY NEWS reported.
Gill shared the details from his Twitter handle, hours after Transparency International shared a report of the global corruption perception index (CPI 2021), showing that the corrupt practices have witnessed an increase in the past year with Pakistan losing three points and 16 ranks in the list.

The SAPM shared that Adil Gilani was posted as ambassador to Serbia during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure and therefore, reports written by him should be considered as the mouthpiece of PML-N and Nawaz Sharif.

He further shared previous reports where Transparency International and Adil Gilani were blamed for allegedly forging survey data and their involvement in a land scam.
According to Corruption Perception Index (CPI 2021), corruption has increased in Pakistan. Pakistan ranks 140 out of 180 countries.
