ATTOCK: At least two people have been killed and 12 others sustained injuries after an Islamabad-bound bus collided with a truck in Attock district of the Punjab province, ARY NEWS reported.
According to rescue sources, the incident occurred at Pindigheb tehsil of Attock where a passenger bus traveling to Islamabad collided with a truck from the opposite direction.
“The passengers boarded the bus from Rajanpur and were traveling to Islamabad,” they said and added that the bodies and injured were rushed to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.
Incidents of collision between passenger buses and heavy vehicles travelling on major highways of the country have been reported previously.
Recently, at least five persons were dead and 20 others got injured as a passenger bus and trailer met a collision in Nooriabad.

The accident occurred at the Super Highway in the Nooriabad area near Karachi where a bus heading to Khairpur from Karachi collided with a trailer, killing five persons on the spot and injuring several others.
Getting information, the rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to Kotri hospital.
