KARACHI: Two people were killed and five others were injured when a house collapsed in Karachi, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, seven people were injured when a house came tumbling down in Clifton’s Neelum Colony this morning. Rescue teams arrived at the scene and recovered the people trapped under the debris.
Police has confirmed that a man Azeem Siddique and a woman Zeenat succumbed to their injuries in the incident.
The injured persons — identified as Saleem, Amir, Shabana, Daniyal and Anthony — were shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
According to police, two families were residing in the building adding that the cause of the incident is being determined.
The building collapsed because it was old and in a dilapidated condition, the eyewitnesses said.
