Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in his traditional and intriguing style asked a question about Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in a recent episode of his popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati? (Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?).

An audio recording was played before the contestant in which a person was heard eulogising a sports star whose struggle, after getting into politics, spanned decades to become prime minister of his country. “He started from scrap, with one seat, and went on to become prime minister,” said the person.

The contestant was asked that which leader was that person praising. He was given four options to choose the right answer from.

The options were: (A) Muhammad Azharuddin, (B) Kirti Azad, (C) Imran Khan and (D) Mansoor Ali Khan.

Without much hesitation the man chose Imran Khan’s name. Interestingly he did not know whose conversation was played before him. When he was asked that how he was so sure of his answer despite failing to recongnise the speaking person, he said only Imran Khan was the sportsperson (out of those options) who became prime minister of his country.

The contestant received Rs10,000 cheque with Amitabh’s signature for the right answer.

Those remarks in the audio recording were made by Indian cricketer-turned-politician, Navjot Singh Sidhu, who also visited Pakistan to attend the oath taking ceremony of his old friend and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

It is pertinent to mention that Amitabh is also an old friend of Imran Khan. In their youth, Amitabh attended a fund-raising ceremony of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and praised the Pakistani cricketer for his obsession to serve the humanity.
