Virat Kohli cannot wait to watch Anushka Sharma in ‘Pari’

The trailer for Anushka Sharma’s upcoming horror flick Pari has been released and definitely not one for the faint-hearted.

However, someone is excited to watch the film is none other than her cricketer husband Virat Kohli. This is Anushka’s first release after their marriage.

Anushka Sharma shared the trailer of her film and wrote, “This Holi, the devil’s out to play.” However, Virat said that he was blown away and can’t wait to watch her in the new avatar.

“Can’t wait to watch my one and only in an avatar never seen before and I’m blown away already,” he wrote on the social media website Twitter. Virat Kohli is currently in South Africa for a tour with the Indian cricket team.

In the film, the actress is possessed by a demon who wants to kill her and everyone around. She constantly keeps asking for help from people.

The one-and-half minute long clip is full of haunting shots which could potentially keep you up for nights continuously, and will definitely remind that Pari is not a fairytale.

The video opens with an eerie shot of Anushka lost in the music of her earphones, while the classic horror score in the background makes the atmosphere even more spooky.

Then we overhear a conversation between a man and a woman who are talking about a task assigned to Sharma, which she is “made for”. While the woman seems sure that Sharma will complete the assignment, the man disbelieves her. We also get a partial mirror view of the man where he is most likely fixing a bruised eye.

The scene then shifts to Parambrata Chatterjee having a conversation with his mother. Anushka has no one to call her own and Chatterjee wants to take her in, which is obviously a big mistake.

Directed by Prosit Roy, Pari hits the screens on March 2. The film has been produced by Anushka Sharma’s production house and also stars Rajat Kapoor and Ritabhari Chakraborty in pivotal roles.
