WATCH: Iqrarul Hasan’s son pays tribute to Junaid Jamshed

As in Ramadan and on Independence Day, everyone starts remembering late Junaid Jamshed, ARY News anchor Iqrarul Hasan Syed’s son Pehlaj Hasan Syed paid tribute to the famous singer-turned-preacher in a heart warming video.

Pehlaj sang ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’  Junaid Jamshed’s most famous hit as a singer in the video posted by the ‘Sar-e-Aam’ host on his Twitter profile. The song many call Pakistan’s second national anthem.

Iqrarul Hasan shared her son’s video on Twitter with prayers that May God increase his love for his homeland.

An Icon’s death

Pop singer-turned-religious preacher Junaid Jamshed and his wife lost their life in a plane crash on December 7, 2016.

Jamshed along with 46 others, boarded flight PK-661 from Chitral on December 7. The plane was to reach Islamabad but it crashed near Havelian village of Punjab. The crash killed all on board.

His funeral prayers were offered at AKD Ground DHA in the Karachi on December 15 and he was buried in a religious seminary Dar-ul-Uloom Korangi.

Junaid Jamshed, who abandoned singing, used to appear every in ARY Digital’s Ramzan transmission ‘Shan-e-Ramzan’ with Waseem Badami and Iqrarul Hasan Syed.
