GHOTKI: During a rally in Ghotki, former president Asif Ali Zardari asked: “What sin have we committed?”

In a retaliating tone, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Friday said that no one can frighten nor can anyone bend his party leadership or workers.

“The way we have done the work will be written in the history,” he boastfully said while mentioning that the PPP gave due rights to the basic provincial resources under the 18th Amendment. “If districts are not being given their respective rights, then this thing would go really far,” Zardari added.

Addressing the rally participants, the PPP leader said, “We have been in opposition even after winning elections [in the past]. We come here to serve the public, not to serve ourselves.”

It is noteworthy that today the federal government placed the names of Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur and 169 others on the Exit Control List (ECL) over their alleged involvement in fake bank accounts and money laundering cases.

Other accused whose names have been placed on the ECL include Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, former chief minister Qaim Ali Shah, PPP leaders Sohail Anwar Siyal, Imtiaz Sheikh, Ali Hassan Zardari, Manzoor Kaka, Sohail Rajput, Omni Group chairman Anwar Majeed, and his son Nimar Majeed.

Former National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) president Syed Ali Raza and top officials of the Sindh Bank, including Bilal Sheikh, Ahsan Shiekh, and Sarwat Azeem, will also face the travel ban.
