Yasmin Rashid reviews sanitation activities, supply of medicines in Gujranwala hospitals

LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid visited Gujranwala on Monday to review sanitation activities and supply of medicines in hospitals.

She went to District Headquarters Hospital Kamonki where she reviewed the facilities for the patients and their visitors.

Addressing a ceremony regarding weekly sanitation campaign in Gujranwala, she said the objective of the Sanitation Week was to promote a healthy society by keeping our surroundings clean and hygienic.

On March 16, Dr Yasmeen Rashid had said that the provincial government was striving to provide modern and best treatment facilities in public sector hospitals to facilitate the patients.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Yasmeen Rashid had said that the process of accountability had been started in health department.

She had said that strict action would be taken against the illegal warehouses and those officers who were involved for not purchasing medicines timely. Basic purpose to change the law of Pakistan Kidney Liver Institute for ensuring the best treatment facilities to the patients, the minister had added.

According to a statement released from the ministry, Yasmeen Rashid had said that the health department had already been completed working on the seniority of lady health supervisor and lady health worker for their promotion.
