Netflix’s smash hits You and The Witcher are set to return with their latest seasons in the fourth quarter of 2021, reported Deadline.
After suffering major delays in filming and post-production owing to the pandemic, two of Netflix’s biggest hits are confirmed to release their newest seasons at the end of this year, as revealed by Netflix Co-CEO and Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos.

Sarandos’ revelation came in an investor video for Netflix’s financial results for the first quarter of the year, in which he said: “What happened in the first part of this year was that a lot of the projects that we’d hoped to come out earlier did get pushed because of the post-production delays and Covid delays and we think we’ll get back to a much steadier state in the back half of the year.”
“Certainly in Q4 where we have the returning seasons of some of our most popular shows like The Witcher and You and Cobra Kai as well as some big tentpole movies that came to market a little slower than we’d hoped like Red Notice and Escape From Spiderhead,” he added.

You, which is onto its third season after it was renewed in January 2020, started production on season 3 in December 2020 before COVID restrictions stalled the process until January 2021. The show stars Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti.
The Witcher, on the other hand, proved to be one of the biggest releases for Netflix, and production on season 2 started early last year. It faced major delays in the UK before wrapping up earlier this month. The fantasy epic stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.
