12 Nepali medical students in Pakistan airlifted to Kathmandu to aid relief efforts

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved provision of 20000 tents, 20 tons of rice and medicines for earthquake relief in Nepal on the request of the Nepalese authorities.

About a dozen Nepalese post-graduate medical students also onboard the aircrafts to serve their countrymen during the testing times.

The aircrafts carrying over 600 tents, four tons of medicines and dry food items.

The planes were seen off at the airport by the Ambassador of Nepal Mr. Bharat Raj Paudyal, officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other Pakistani officials.

The Ambassador of Nepal deeply appreciated the much needed support and assistance from Pakistan.

The relief operation is likely to continue for the next few days.
