RAWALPINDI: The death toll in Mirpur, area of Rawalpindi, caused by toxic liquor has reached 13, with four more deaths, ARY News reported Sunday.
Police galvanized into action after deaths and arrested two miscreants involved in selling toxic liquor. A case of murder, plot of a murder under terrorism charges was registered against both the culprits at Kahota Police Station.
Similarly, six people died after having poisonous liquor within the jurisdiction of Afzalpur Police Station in Azad Kashmir.
One more person was said to be in a critical condition. Police have launched clampdown following deaths reported from consumption of toxic liquor.
