Two injured in attack on PTI office in Faisalabad

The incident took place in Mansoorabad area when a group of people, allegedly belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), attacked the office of UC-47 chairman Ateeq-ur-Razzaq of the PTI.

The attackers were passing by the office when they had altercation with PTI activists. They miscreants attacked the people present at the office with batons, while some elements also resorted to aerial fire to scare away the opponents.

The wounded were identified

as Wali Khan and Tufail Hussain. Local residents gathered in the area in large numbers after which the attackers fled the scene leaving their car behind. The enraged residents pelted the car with stones causing enough damage to it.

Later, they gathered at Jamra Road to protest against the incident and blocked the road for traffic. The protesters dispersed after assurances by local police that a case will be lodged against the culprits.
