Addressing a press conference here, JI emir in Balochistan Abdul Mateen Akhunzada said requirements and needs of IDPs were large while the relief goods provided by the government were inadequate.
The JI, he said, hence decided to step up and help the displaced brothers in this testing time. He appealed the affluent segment of Balochistan to donate generously for the IDPs in the need of the hour and help them evade a hard-scrabble living conditions.
The fund-raising will kick off from Friday. Funds will also be collected through mosques as well as special camps.
Military operation against militants is underway in NWA. Around 0.5 million have migrated from the violence-prone region. Government has also registered the same number of IDPs in its registrations camps.
