Over 9000 complaints registered on citizen portal in Sahiwal division resolved

SAHIWAL: As many as 9, 140 public complaints out of the 14, 984 registered on the Pakistan Citizens Portal in Sahiwal division, have been resolved in the past four months.

As per details, most of these public complaints were related to service delivery departments like police, municipalities, health, education, local governments, Federal Board of Revenue and provincial revenue departments, according to a meeting held at the commissioner office.

The status of pending complaints came under discussion at a meeting attended by divisional heads of public departments here in Sahiwal.

The participants learned that 1,339 complaints were launched against the police, and of 574 had been resolved.

On the occasion, the commissioner directed departments’ heads to work in coordination with their district offices to resolve public complaints.

He directed divisional heads to take redressal report regarding complaints every day and be vigilant on the complaints from the portal.

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government launched the Pakistan Citizen Portal on Oct 28, 2018.

Speaking at the launch of the portal in the capital, the prime minister had said the government is going to become answerable to the people of the country for the first time.
